Our Christmas fundraising schedule got off to a good start on Saturday. Despite the cold there was a good turn out and together with the very generous support of GM Traders, we raised over £2,500. There is still a long way to go before we reach our target to buy and equip the new chalet for our gardeners but this is such a wonderful start. It is the season of good will, so we are hopeful we will get there!
As part of the Missenden Abbey Summer Fair, our open day on Sunday 16th July was a huge success. From a combination of donations, pot painting, face painting and plant sales we raised nearly £800, which was amazing. More importantly we had hundreds of visitors, which will help lift our profile within the local community and beyond.
The success on the day was down to the hard work of the gardeners, staff and volunteers, so a big thank you and well done to you all.
The garden looked stunning.
